Admission Policy (Doctoral Program)

Ideal Applicant Profiles:

  • Human resources who are strived to work on interdisciplinary approach to formulation and resolution of problems for the utilization of information with a sense of purpose.
  • Human resources who have sufficient fundamental skills, and also have communication skills, presentation skills, and language skills to be active internationally.
  • Human resources who can make a research schedule, and perform the research, and finally, can build on research outcomes.

Selection Policy:

Oral examination result is scored, and its outcome will comprehensively be considered for admission decisions.

Selection Methods:

The doctoral program selects students through the recommendation entrance exam and general entrance exam.

In the recommendation entrance exam, an oral examination will be conducted for Master’s degree holders or probable Master’s degree candidates with excellent grades, who have been recommended by the head.

In the general entrance exam, an oral examination is conducted. In the general entrance examination, a special selection is offered for adults who have working experience and for students who prefer to take courses in English. For foreign residents, oral examination can be conducted using video conferencing tools.

Informatics

It takes 30 minutes per person. You will be expected to give a presentation about your research, and the reasons for applying for the program, based on the research plan which you have submitted (within 7 minutes). After the presentation, you will be questioned about the contents of the presentation. And you will be tested your basic academic skills in the related subject fields.

After the presentation, you will be questioned about the content of your presentation. And you will be tested about basic academic skills in the related subject fields.
