アドミッションポリシー（博士後期課程）

情報学学位プログラムは、文系・理系といった区分を越えた新しい学問領域の開拓を目指し、学際的でさまざまな領域の研究が行われていることから、修士段階での専門領域にこだわらず、分野・経歴・年齢・国籍を問わず、学ぶ意欲・研究意欲の高い人を幅広く受け入れます。

The program aims to develop a new academic field that transcends the division between arts and sciences. The doctoral program accepts students from diverse academic fields, regardless of their major in the master’s program. The program recruits students with a strong desire to study and perform research, regardless of their field, personal history, age, or nationality.

  • 文理融合の学際的アプローチにより、目的意識をもって情報の利活用に関する問題の解明・解決に取り組む意欲のある人材
  • 十分な基礎的スキルを持ち、国際的に活躍できるコミュニケーション力、プレゼンテーション力、語学力を有する人材
  • 研究遂行のためのスケジュール設定、研究遂行、成果の展開ができる人材
  • Individuals who strive with a sense of purpose to take an interdisciplinary approach to the formulation and resolution of problems concerning the utilization of information.
  • Individuals who have sufficient fundamental skills, communication skills, presentation skills, and language skills to be active internationally.
  • Individuals who are capable of planning a research schedule, conducting the research, and finally, building on research outcomes.

入学者選抜方法のあらまし
Overview of the admissions process

博士後期課程は推薦入学試験、一般入学試験、社会人特別選抜、英語受験者特別選抜によって選抜します。入学試験の内容と入学時期が異なるだけで、どの試験で入学しても、入学後の教育課程はまったく同じです。いずれの選抜方法であっても、出願時に、入学後に指導教員となる教員の内諾が必要です。

　推薦入学試験は、研究業績を有する者、あるいは成績優秀な修士取得見込み者に対して口述試験を行います。

　一般入学試験では口述試験を行います。
　社会人特別選抜では、３年の社会的経験を有する者を対象に口述試験を行います。
　英語受験者特別選抜では、主として留学生を対象に、英語による口述試験を行います。口述試験ではビデオ会議ツールを使用します。
　修士の学位がなくとも、学位プログラムが実施する受験資格審査によっては受験が認められる場合があります。

The Doctoral Program selects students through Special Selection Process for Recommended Applicants, General Selection Process, Special Selection Process for Working Individuals, and Special Selection Process of Global Individuals in English.

The content of the entrance examination and the timeline of admission are the only differences, but no matter which examination you take, the educational program after admission will be exactly same.

Whichever selection method you choose, you must obtain the informal consent of the faculty member who will be your academic advisor after admission at the time of application.

For the Special Selection Process for Recommended Applicants, an oral examination will be conducted for Master’s degree holders or probable Master’s degree candidates with excellent grades or research achievements.

For the General Selection Process, an oral examination is conducted.

　For the Special Selection Process for Working Individuals, applicants with three years of work experience will take an oral examination.

For the Special Selection Process of Global Individuals in English, which is mainly for international students, an oral examination in English will be conducted. The oral examination will be conducted remotely using a video conference tool.
If you do not have a master’s degree, you may still be eligible to take the examination depending on the eligibility screening conducted by the degree program.

推薦要件
Recommendation Requirements		（１）または （２）に該当する者で、合格した場合に入学を確約できる者
（１）出願時までに大学院で修得した単位のうち、A（優）の評価を取得した科目の単位が、総取得単位の概ね70％以上を占める博士前期（修士）課程在学者
（２）採録された査読付き学術論文（雑誌論文または国際会議論文）がある者
An applicant who fulfills either of the following requirements and can guarantee enrollment if accepted.
（１）Individuals who are enrolled in a Master’s course and have earned in approximately 70% or more A (excellent) grades among the total credits earned in graduate school by the time of application.
（２） Individuals who have accepted peer-reviewed academic papers (journal articles or international conference papers).

Content of the oral examination		これまでの研究概要と研究計画についてのプレゼンテーション（7分程度）ののち、プレゼンテーション内容を中心に、関連分野の基礎知識について質問します。一人あたり30分程度です。
You will be expected to give a presentation about your research result and research plan (approximately 7 minutes). After the presentation, you will be questioned about the content of the presentation and basic knowledge in related fields. It takes approximately 30 minutes per person.
